Today marks one year since I founded Accessible Art History. I know it is cliche to say, but it has honestly flown by! This was all started as a passion project, but it has become so much more. I have found an amazing online community filled with people who love history as much as I do! I am so thankful for you all, you bring so much joy to my life! I’ve studied art history for the past 13 years and it’s incredible to see all of the different ways I am able to share my passion with others.
In order to commemorate the first anniversary of Accessible Art History, I am excited to announce the Mr. Jim Talley Memorial Scholarship! Mr. Talley was one of my history teachers in high school and he made a huge impact on my life. Not only did he introduce me to art history, but he supported me at a difficult time during my life. My dad passed when I was 14 years old. I developed anxiety as a result and Mr. Talley always helped me through the hard moments, even when I had to miss class. He cultivated my love of history and always encouraged me to follow my dreams. I am setting up this scholarship in his names to help other students at my alma mater learn about something they are interested in.
I created this special, limited edition t-shirt, mug, and sticker that will be available on the Accessible Art History merch shop for one month. Starting today through September 12th, part of the proceeds from ALL sales will go towards this scholarship fund. You can find the store at this link. Thank you in advance for supporting this cause that is so dear to my heart.
Here’s to many more years of Accessible Art History! I can’t wait to see where the future takes us!
